Masbooq Completing Tashahhud After The Imaam Has Made Salaam

Question

If a person joins the Imaam in the final sitting position of Salaah. After joining the Imaam, the Imaam makes Salaam. The Muqtadi has not yet completed Tashahhud. Is it necessary for him to complete the Tashahhud? If he omitted the Tashahhud, is Sajdah Sahw necessary?

Answer

If the Imaam maded Salaam and the person had not completed the recitation of Tashahhud, he should complete the recitation of Tashahhud before standing up to complete his missed Raka’aat. His Salaah will be correct however, if he did not complete the recitation of Tashahhud.
