A Masbooq Reciting Thanaa

Question

Should I recite Thanaa if I join in the Salaah as a Masbooq?

Answer

If the Masbuq joins the Imam whilst the Imam is making loud Qiraat (Jahri) he should not recite Thana, but rather he should remain silent after saying the Takbeer-e-Tahrima. And when he stands up to complete his remaining Salaah after the Salaam of the Imam he should recite Thana.

As for the Salaahs with silent Qiraat (Sirri) he should recite Thanaa when he joins the Imam as well as when he stands up to complete his remaining Rakaats.
