Question
I would like to know if halaal meat must be transported by a Muslim from point of slaughter till point of sale.
Answer
Once the animal is slaughtered in the way which is permissible and according to the requirements of Shari’ah, then the meat of that animal is Halaal. Thereafter it not necessary for it to be a Muslim who will be doing the transportation of the meat, from the point of slaughter till the point of sale. However, it would be ideal and commendable (though not necessary), if a Muslim does the transportation.
