Accepting Waqf From A Non-Muslim
Question
Answer
It is permissible to accept Waqf from a non Muslim with the following conditions:
• It is an act of worship in the religion of the non-Muslim.
• There shouldn’t be an ulterior motive behind it. For example: if a non Muslim gives Waqf to a Masjid with the intention of getting funds from the Muslims for his church, or for a political reason such as getting votes from Muslims, then it will not be permissible to accept his Waqf.
• Majority of his income should be from a Halal source.
