Is it Sunnah to apply Surma on a Thursday night or every night?
Answer
t is Sunnah to apply surma at night before going to sleep on any night and not only on Thursday as indicated by the following narration:
Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu Anhu narrates that Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam said: Apply Ithmid
surma as it increases the eyesight and causes the hair to grow. He also believes that Nabi
Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam had a surma holder from which he used to apply surma every night
thrice in this eye and thrice in this one.
