Authenticity Of A Durood

Question

Is there any authenticity to the Durood in the attachment?

Answer

The wording of the Durud you are referring to is as follows:

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فِي أَوَّلِ كَلَامِنَا، وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فِي أَوْسَطِ كَلَامِنَا، وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فِي آخِرِ كَلَامِنَا.

Meaning: O Allah, please send salutation upon Muhammad in the beginning of our speech, and send salutation upon Muhammad in the middle of our speech, and send salutation upon Muhammad in the end of our speech.

As you can see, the wording and meaning of this Durud is good and free of fault, so there is no harm in reciting this form of Durud. All the Ulema agree that to send Durud upon Nabi is one of the greatest forms of Ibadat, and it is not necessary to use the wordings which are mentioned in the Ahadith only, one may send Durud upon Nabi in any wording one prefers, provided that the wording is correct grammatically and there is no fault with its meaning. However, the version of Durud taught to us by Nabi will always far outweigh a Durud formulated by someone else.

It is important to note that a person may not stipulate virtues or conditions to a certain version of Durud from his own side, without some proof from Nabi, this is dangerous and can have disastrous consequences. After extensive research (in spite of the validity of the words and meaning), we could not find any virtue associated with this version of Durud mentioned anywhere in the Ahaadith.
