Question
Can the trustees of the ghusal khana force family or burial societies using the facility to pay a fee for use of the ghusal facility?
Answer
If the Ghusl-Khaana is owned by someone, it will be permissible for them to charge a fee for using its facilities. Similarly, if the Ghusl-Khaana has been made Waqf by a donor, it will be allowed for the trustees of the Waqf to charge a fee of Ujrat al-Mithl (an estimated amount fixed by unbiased experts), provided that it conforms with the conditions laid out by the donor, as well as the trustee being authorised from the donor for leasing out the property.
