Dental Veneers

Question

Are teeth veneer permitted in Islam for cosmetic purposes?

The concern that I have is will wudu and ghusal be valid with these tooth modifications.

Answer

According to our understanding dental veneers refer to wafer thin, custom made shells of tooth colored materials designed to cover the front surface of the teeth in order to improve one’s appearance. These shells are bonded to the teeth. Although such covers should not be attached without necessity, if one had attached them, then Wudhu and Ghusl will be valid, since these have become part of one’s teeth.
