Question
I am currently on the blessed journey of Hajj. I have been having a problem for a while and especially more when I’m here. When I read salaah I get the feeling that wind has escaped and repeat many salaah fearing it won’t be accepted. However the problem is like you have movement in your stomach you aalso get movement down the back and around the rear passage area.
What happens if you feel the movement but you are not sure whether the wind has exited and escaped from rear passage or its merely movement from within. Please advice as I’m stuck in this dilemma for many years especially now that I’m here. As a result of this my focus in salaah is bad fearing when I will perceive a movement.
Answer
As long as there isn’t any certainty that wind has emerged from the rear passage one’s Wudhu will be considered to be intact and there isn’t any need to entertain any doubts or repeat one’s Salaah. These doubts and feelings are from Shaytaan.
Yes, when there is certainty that wind has emerged from the rear, then only will Wudhu have to be renewed and if this occurs during Salaah then Salaah too will have to be repeated.
