Question
Is it sunnah to dry the limbs after wudhu?
Answer
It is proven from the Hadith that Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had a cloth which he would use to wipe his blessed limbs and on one occasion he also refused to accept a cloth after Wudhu. The conclusion is that as it is proven from Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, using a towel, etc. to dry the limbs would not fall outside of the purview of the Sunnah. Rasulullah
sallallahu alaihi wasallam refusing to accept a cloth to dry his limbs on another occasion indicated that he did not want his Ummah to become too habitual and accustomed to this practice; so at times a person should do without drying his limbs.
