Dua In Sajdah

When they say that we should make dua to Allah Ta’ala in sajda, what is meant, do we make a sajdah out of namaz and make dua or should we make the dua during namaz whilst in sajdah? If it is in the second case, can we make our dua in English?

This would refer to making Dua in the Sajda posture out of Salaah, in which case you may make Dua in any language that you desire. There are also certain Duas mentioned in the Ahaadith that can be recited in our Nawafil Salaah whilst in Sajda. However, these Duas recited during Salaah will have to be recited in the Arabic language only as recorded in the Ahaadith.
