Question
Please give me some duas or Wazaaif for progress in business and to remove interruptions.
Answer
Before presenting some supplications to you, we wish to mention a Hadith wherein Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam mentioned a man who, having journeyed far, is disheveled and dusty and who spreads out his hands to the sky saying, O Lord, O Lord, while his food is Haraam, his drink is Haraam, his clothing is Haraam and he was nourished by Haraam, so how can his supplication be answered?
There are many examples in the Quran and Hadith which clearly show that doing that which is compulsory brings Barakah in one`s wealth and business while doing that which is prohibited causes hardship and loss in wealth, business etc. It is important to also note that Allah Ta’aala by his infinite knowledge may well test a pious person with trials in his business. Due to this person’s piety he will remain steadfast on the commands of Allah Ta’aala.
As a business person, we adjure you to be particular about your Salaah in Jamaa`ah, payment of Zakaah and doing other compulsory acts, these things bring Barakah in your life and business. You should also stay away from interest bearing transactions, trading Haraam merchandise, deception and deceit in dealings and all forms of sins as they cause Barakah to decrease and bring about hardship. Remember, in fulfilling the commands of Allah Ta’aala; do fulfill the rights of the creation as well. Hence if you have employees, do treat them with due respect and give them honest wages.
If all the above is in order, then we are hopeful that the following Du`aas (supplications) will be of great assistance to you by the will of Allah Ta’aala. It is mentioned in Al-Hisnul Hasin, the famous book of supplications; the following Du`aas should be recited excessively when in debt or financial difficulty:
Translation: O Allah provide me with lawful livelihood, adequate to my needs instead of ill-gotten one, and graciously grant me freedom from needing anything from anyone besides Yourself.
Translation: O Allah, the soother of worry and grief, grantor of the prayers of the helpless people, the Giver of mercy and grace in this world and the hereafter, You alone can have the mercy on me so favour me in a way that I may no longer stand in need of the kindness of others.
Translation: O Allah master of all sovereignty, You give dominion to whomsoever You like and You snatch it away from whomsoever You please, You exalt anyone you please and You degrade anyone You like; all good is in your hands and surely you have power over all things. O Giver of mercy and grace in this world and the hereafter, you give sovereignty and honour to whomsoever You please and you deprive whomever you please of sovereignty and honour. Favour me in a way that I may no longer stand in need of the kindness of others.
We also advise that you read the following Du`aa for the removal of interruptions in your business. In fact, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said that this is such a Du`aa that no Muslim person will recite except that Allah will accept his Du`aa. Therefore, you can also recite it for Barakah in your business.
The Du`aa is:
Translation: There is no deity besides you, you are glorified, indeed I am from the wrongdoers.
Translation: O Allah shower Your blessings on Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger and on the believing men and women and on the Muslim men and women.
We also advise you to read the following Du`aa for Barakah in your business;
Translation: Oh Allah, our Sustainer grant us goodness in this world and the hereafter and protect us from the punishment of the hellfire.
