False Eyelashes

It will be deemed impermissible under normal circumstances to wear imitation/false eyelashes.

Yes, in the case of a defect with the natural eyelashes, such as Madarosis (shedding of the eyelashes) for instance, one will be allowed to resort to artificial eyelashes given that such eyelashes are not made from human hair. In the case that the artificial eyelashes are made from human hair, its usage will be ruled as impermissible. The application of imitation eyelashes merely for the sake of embellishment (as is the norm) has been prohibited as it entails deception.

The method of attaining natural and true beauty has been transmitted to us from our Noble Master . Rasūlullah has mentioned in a Hadeeth;

Translation: “The best collyrium (Kuhl) is antimony (Ithmid), it sharpens the vision and lengthens the eyelashes.”
