Haidh During the Five Days Of Hajj

If a woman’s menses begins during the days of Haj, she will perform all the Arkaan / obligations of Haj besides Tawaaf, she will delay her Tawaaf until after her menstrual cycle.

Hence, a woman who is experiencing her menses and is unable to perform her Tawaaf e Ziyaarah should delay and ensure that she performs her Tawaaf e Ziyaarah before returning, even if it means she will have to change her reservations. If this is not possible, she should try to use other methods to stop her Haidh, for example taking pills, with the consultation of a reliable experienced muslim doctor. If she returns home, without performing Tawaaf e Ziyaarah, she will remain in the state of Ihraam and all marital relations with her spouse will be forbidden. If she performs her Tawaaf while she is in the condition of Haidh, she will have to give to slaughter one camel, and make abundance of Istighfaar. However, if she performs her Tawaaf in the condition of Haidh and before she leaves, her Haidh terminates she will have to repeat her Tawaaf. If she did not yet slaughter a camel in this case, the necessity of slaughtering a camel falls away.

As with regards to Tawaaf e Wida’a, if she experiences her menses and is unable to perform her Tawaaf e Wida’a, it will not remain Waajib anymore, and her last Tawaaf she performed, will be regarded as Tawaaf e wida’a.
