Question
Is it allowed to have a Bayan (lecture) in English between the Friday Khutbah und the Jummah Namaaz?
I. e. First the 2 arabic Khutbahs, then 20 min. Talk in English and then the Jummah prayer.
Would there be any Karahat in doing this, and what kind of Karahat?
Answer

Now coming to your query, having a 20 minute English lecture after the Khutbah will be considered as a lengthy delay due to which the Khutbah will have to be repeated once again before the Jumuah Salaah. We therefore suggest that the English talk is held first, followed by the Arabic Khutbah then the Salaah should be performed as practised by the Muslims here in South Africa and other parts of the world.
The other option, although it may not seem practical or commendable, is to have the talk after the Jumuah Salaah (that is after performing the Sunnah Salaah after Jumuah) if the congregation is willing to sit and listen. We generally find people in a hurry to leave after the Salaah hence we are not certain as to whether this procedure will prove successful for Germany. However, we have simply mentioned it as an alternative.
