Can a person make Istikhaara for something which Allah or his Rasool SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam has already given a ruling for e.g. A woman wants to start wearing Niqaab can she make Istikhaara for that ? Because Niqaab has already been encouraged and told to do so.
No, Istikaarah cannot be made in regards to things which are obligatory or impermissible.
