Question
A person hears the imam reading a sajdah ayat but joins the imam after he completes the sajdah tilawat, does he have to make sajdah again?
Answer
If he joins the Imam in the same Rakaat before Imam makes the Sajdah then he will join the Imam and go into Sajdah with the Imam. If the Imam has already performed the Sajdah, and if the person joins the Imam in the same Rakaat then he does not have to perform the Sajdah. If he hears the Sajdah Aayah and only joins the Imam in the next Rakaat the then he will have to perform the Sajdah after completion of his Salaah with the Imam.

سمع من امام فدخل معه قبل ان يسجد سجد معه وان دخل فى صلاة الامام بعد ما سجدها الامام لايسجدها وهذا اذا فى اخر تلك الركعة اما لو ادركه فى ركعة الاخرى يسجدها بعد الفراغ
