Mastooraat Jamaat

Faqihul Ummat Hazrat Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi (Rahmatullahi Alaih) who was the Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband mentioned with regards to Mastooraat Jamaat that “there is a tremendous need of Tableegh amongst the women. It is of course best to arrange for family women to be taught at home. Otherwise a gathering may be arranged once a week in the locality where all the women should arrive in Hijab (and Taa’leem, etc could take place). If the women need to travel, they should do so with their husbands or other Mahaarim so that they come to no harm and no evil arises. In this manner they can also achieve personal reformation 

We conclude by saying Mastooraat Jamaat is permissible, provided that all the requirements set out by the elders and Ulema of Tableegh are adhered to. It is after all, a noble and beneficial work. In today’s time and era, it is one of the best ways in which Mastooraat can learn Deen and make it reach others. Like how every male needs to make an effort to bring complete Deen in his life, every female also needs to make the same effort. Thus, going out in Mastooraat Jamaat to bring complete Deen in one’s life and to propagate Deen is necessary for both male and female.

The objective of the Tableeghi Jamat is to learn Deen and become steadfast on it as well as to encourage others to do the same. It is often necessary to undertake journeys for this purpose. Just as men need to learn the Deen, women do too, but there is not always the infrastructure in place at home for this. To achieve this objective, it will be permissible for them to undertake journeys on condition that they are accompanied by a Mahram; Hijaab and other regulations are observed.
