Omitting Tawaafuz-Ziyaarah

Question

Please advise me on the position of a person’s Haj who did not perform the Tawaaf Ziyaraat.

Answer

The Hajj of a person who did not perform Tawaafuz Ziyaarah will be incomplete. This is so because Tawaafuz Ziyaarah is one of the  compulsory acts of Hajj.

Since the Hajj is incomplete a person will be considered to be partially in the state of Ihraam. Hence the reason why copulation with one’s spouse is forbidden. The only way to rectify the  situation is to return to Makkah to perform the Tawwaaf and one will have to pay the Damm for delaying the Tawaaf.
