Pardah For A Woman In Ihraam

In the state of Ihram, it is not appropriate for a woman to directly cover her face with a cloth i.e. the  cloth touches her face. However, in this time of fitnah (trials and tribulations), it is incumbent upon women to observe purdah. For this reason, women should tie something on their heads which protrudes and allows a piece of cloth to hang from the end to cover the face. 

Through this, the purpose of purdah will be observed and the cloth will not be touching the face.i To facilitate this these days women have specially made sun caps which have a cloth hanging at the visor end of the cap, the end that protrudes forward from the face.
