Question
A person from South Africa sent his Qurbani to India. However, due to the difference in time zones, the Eid namaz was read in India and the qurbani was done as well in the town it was sent to at a time when the Eid Salaah had not yet taken place here in South Africa in the town of the person sending it.
Is the Qurbani done?
Answer
If on the morning of the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the time of Sadiq had entered in South Africa, due to which Qurbaani became Waajib on the resident of South Africa, then the animal sacrificed in India for the resident of South Africa would be valid, even though the Eid Salaah was not yet performed in South Africa. This is because the people of India performed the Qurbaani at the correct time in their country (i.e. after the Eid Salaah).
Yes, if on the morning of the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the time of Sadiq had not entered in South Africa and the Qurbaani was performed in India, then the Qurbaani of the resident of South Africa would not be valid.
