Qurbani Of A Woman On Safar (Travel) While In Haidh

Haidh And Nifaas, Tahaarah, Udhiyyah (Qurbani)

Question

A woman starts her journey while in haidh (menses). She remains in Safar (travel) during qurbani days.

May she take the option not to perform qurbani as she is in her menses and thus not a Musaafir ?

Answer

The journey of a woman during Haidh is not considered thus she will not fall in the category of a Musaafir. Due to not being a Musaafir, it will be obligatory upon her to perform Qurbani if she is Saahib-e-Nisaab
