What is the ruling with regarding to repeating Surah Faatihah in one rakaat?

Answer
If one repeats Surah Fatiha consecutively in the first two Rak’aat of Fardh Salah, it will be incumbent to perform Sajdah Sahw in order to complete the prayer; however, if it is repeated in the last two Rak’aat of Fardh or in optional prayers, or inconsecutively in Fardh (where one reads Surah Fatiha and some other portion of the Quran and, thereafter, reads Surah Fatiha again), in these cases, Sajdah Sahw will not be Wajib (incumbent).

(قَوْلُهُ وَكَذَا تَرْكُ تَكْرِيرِهَا إلَخْ) فَلَوْ قَرَأَهَا فِي رَكْعَةٍ مِنْ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَجَبَ سُجُودُ السَّهْوِ لِتَأْخِيرِ الْوَاجِبِ وَهُوَ السُّورَةُ كَمَا فِي الذَّخِيرَةِ وَغَيْرِهَا، وَكَذَا لَوْ قَرَأَ أَكْثَرَهَا ثُمَّ أَعَادَهَا كَمَا فِي الظَّهِيرِيَّةِ، أَمَّا لَوْ قَرَأَهَا قَبْلَ السُّورَةِ مَرَّةً وَبَعْدَهَا مَرَّةً فَلَا يَجِبُ كَمَا فِي الْخَانِيَّةِ وَاخْتَارَهُ فِي الْمُحِيطِ وَالظَّهِيرِيَّةِ وَالْخُلَاصَةِ وَصَحَّحَهُ الزَّاهِدِيُّ لِعَدَمِ لُزُومِ التَّأْخِيرِ لِأَنَّ الرُّكُوعَ لَيْسَ وَاجِبًا بِإِثْرِ السُّورَةِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ سُوَرٍ بَعْدَ الْفَاتِحَةِ لَا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ، كَذَا فِي الْبَحْرِ. ص ٤٦٠ ج ١ ط: سعيد
