Question
If Sadaqatul Fitr is paid a a foreign country what currency and amount should be paid?
Answer
When paying Sadaqatul Fitr in a foreign country, one should calculate the amount based on the price of his own locality. He may then give the money in whatever currency he desires, but preferably in the currency of the poor person, making it easier for him to derive benefit. If the price of Sadaqatul Fitr is less in his own locality and more expensive in the place where he is sending the money, then he should pay the more expensive price.
