Question
Can you sell a property currently being rented out. Who will the rental go to?
Answer
The contract between the tenant and landlord will end if the property was sold with the consent of the tenant and the property will belong to the buyer.
Otherwise, if sold without the consent of the tenant, the rental contract will remain standing and the sale will also be complete, but the property will only go into the ownership of the buyer after the rental contract has terminated; until then it will be suspended.
If the property is in the possession of the seller it will remain in his ownership, otherwise, it will pass into the ownership of the buyer. However, if the buyer receives the rent after asking the tenant for it, it will belong to him.
