Slaughtering An Animal Without A Tail

If one third or more of the animal’s tail is severed, it will not be permissible for Qurbani. If the days of Qurbani have not elapsed as yet, then the Qurbani will have to be repeated by slaughtering another suitable animal that meets all the requirements. In the case where the days of Qurbani have already elapsed, which are the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Zul Hijjah, then the amount of money equivalent to a Qurbani animal should be given in Sadaqah.
