Is it permissible to rent out a rented property?

Renting out a rented property (subletting) is permissible. However one cannot charge more rental than the amount one has to pay except if one has done any additions or improvements to the property. If one charges more, then the extra amount (in the scenario when one is not allowed to charge extra), will have to be given in Sadaqah to the poor.
