Question
Please state the entry and exit time of Maghrib.
Answer
Immediately after sunset the time of Maghrib enters.
According to Imaam Abu Hanifa Rahinmahullah, the time of Esha only enters once the whiteness disappears from the horizon. In other words, after sunset there is generally redness in the horizon, which is followed by whiteness. Once the whiteness disappears, the time of Maghrib expires and the time of Esha Salaah enters. This is the preferred view according to Ibn Nujaim Rahimahullah and Ibn Humaam Rahimahullah.
This is generally between one hour fifteen minutes to one and half hour after Maghrib Salaah depending on one’s geographical location.

(إلى غروب الشفق الأحمر ) وقيل هو البياض الذي بعد الحمرة وهو قول الصديق والصديقة وأنس ومعاذ وأبي هريرة ورواية عن ابن عباس رضي الله تعالى عنهم أجمعين وبه قال عمر بن عبد العزيز والأوزاعي وداود الظاهري وغيرهم واختاره من أهل اللغة المبرد وثعلب وصحح كل من القولين وأفتى به ورجح في البحر قول الإمام قال ولا يعدل عنه إلى قولهما ولو بموجب من ضعف أو ضرورة تعامل لأنه صاحب المذهب فيجب إتباعه والعمل بمذهبه حيث كان دليله واضحا ومذهبه ثابتا ولا يلتفت إلى جعل بعض المشايخ الفتوى على قولهما
