Question
I wanted to confirm when one gives dawah to a friend to any good deed, let’s say Umrah for example and 2 years later he performs Umrah, does the person who encouraged him get a share of the reward, or the entire reward just like the brother who performed the Umrah?
Answer
من دل على خير فله مثل اجر فاعله
Whosoever directs towards a good deed, will receive a reward like that of the one who carried out that deed.
من دعا الى هدي كان له من الاجر مثل أجور من تبعه لا ينقص ذلك من اجورهم شيئاً
Whosoever calls towards good, for him is a reward equal to that of those who follow him, this will not decrease the reward of those who follow him at all.
