Visiting Jeddah For Business Purposes

Question

If  a person is landing in Jeddah only for business does he have to make Umrah?

Answer

If a person intends undertaking a business related journey only to Jeddah, it is not necessary for him to perform Umrah.

ومن جاوز وقته اى الذى وصل اليه حال كونه يقصد مكانا فى الحل كبستان بنى عامر او جدة مثلا بحيث لم يمر على الحرم وليس له عند المجاوزة قصد ان يدخل الحرم بعد دخول ذلك المكان ثم بدا له اى ظهور اى حارث ان يدخل مكة اى او الحرم ولم يرد نسكا حينئذ فله ان يدخلها اى مكة وكذا الحرم بغير احرام
