I have been having hair loss since almost 10 years now…being diagnosed with Alopecia. My scalp was visible. However my hair fall has become worst since 4 months now. There is hardly any hair remaining on my head. I wear a scarf…but want to look good for my husband…I can see he is losing interest in me…this makes me very sad.
Pls give me some Dua for my hair…
Answer
We make Dua to Allah Ta’aala that he grants you complete cure from your ailment.
Androgenetic alopecia (hair loss) is the most common form of alopecia in men and women. Almost all persons have some degree of androgenetic alopecia.
The Shariʿah has accommodated adopting permissible means of cure. We advise you to see an expert doctor/dermatologist and adopt those means prescribed to you, provided the medication is from Halaal sources.
If an upright pious Muslim doctor advises (as a treatment) to shave the hair on your head and is sure that it would assist in completely or partially restoring the hair, then under these circumstances, due to necessity it would be permissible to do so.
You could also utilize a wig made from synthetic or animal hair besides pig hair. It is not permissible to use human hair.
A Pakistani Hakim advised the usage of oil extracted from the ginger root. Recipes for this could be found in this endnote.
Perform Salaatul-Haajah and engage in excessive Dua to Allah Ta’ala. Tests in the life of a believer is to make him attain closer proximity to Allah Ta’aala. Explain to your husband that this is a test for him also. He himself should remain firm in this test and encourage you instead of passing comments. Don’t forget that this worldly life and its tests are temporary, therefore, aspire to please Allah Ta’ala to enjoy eternal bliss in the everlasting life of the hereafter.
