Question
Are women allowed to wear jewellery made of things other than gold or silver?
Answer
Hadrat Mufti Mahmood Hassan Saheb Gangohi Rahimahullah has written that it is permissible for women to wear jewellery other than gold and silver such as jewellery manufactured from plastic, glass etc.
However, the above ruling applies to jewellery other than rings. As far as rings worn by women are concerned, they must be either of gold or silver.
