Question
I am a Hanafi and would like to know that when I am a Musaafir (traveller), can Asr salaah be read once the Shafi Asr time has set in or must you wait for Hanafi Asr time to set in?
Answer
It is preferable for you to wait for the Asr Hanafi time to set in, however the Ulama have given leeway to perform Asr Salaah in the Shafi’ee time for a Musaafir if it is difficult for him to perform it in the Hanafi time.
