Question
The landlord has informed the tenant that only one car per flat will be allowed in the parking. If a tenant parks more than one car, can the landlord charge for the extra parking space?
Answer
If the lessor had stipulated when leasing the premises (either verbally or in the lease agreement) that each household is entitled to park one vehicle only, then the lessor will be entitled to charge the lessee for parking additional vehicles. If the lessee is not prepared to hire additional parking from the the lessor then the lessee should make alternate arrangements to park his extra vehicle.
