Question
A mobile network company has requested the jamaat to install aerial panels or antenna on the Minaarat of the masjid (which falls within the Masjid) and a BTS system next to the masjid (out of the masjid area), which is referred to as a reception tower. There will be no need to erect a tower, just to install aerial panels, similar to that which is installed on the Minaarat for the receivers. A rental will be received which will be a source of income for the masjid. Is it permissible?
Answer
Yes, it is permissible to allow the cellular network provider to install their aerial panels on the Masjid Minaarat in lieu of a rental which can then be used for the maintenance of the Masjid.
