Question
If a person is travelling to two places, the first place is not Safr distance, but the second place is Safr distance, will he be Musafir in the first place?
Answer
A person intending to travel the Safr distance will be Musafir (perform Qasr Salaah) once he leaves the the area where he resides in. Hence if a person initially (when leaving his residence) had the intention of travelling to the second place – i.e. he did not merely intend the first place and on arrival at the first place decided to travel to the second place, rather he had the intention from the very beginning – then he will be Musafir (perform Qasr Salaah) in the first place as well.
