I wanted to know what is the masala with regards to someone elses child drinking your breastmilk?
Does the woman become the foster mother or only if a certain amount is drank… and is it necessary to be drank from the breast or even if the child drank it from a bottle?
Answer
The woman will become the foster mother even if the child drank a little milk during the breastfeeding period (up to two lunar years – 24 lunar months).
Whether the child drank directly from the breast or from a bottle (or any other way, e.g. from a spoon), Hurmate- Radaa’at (foster relations) will be established.
