Dua to Read When Buying Something New

‌اللَّهُمَّ ‌إِنِّي ‌أَسْأَلُكَ ‌خَيْرَهَا ‌وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ

Translation: “O Allah, I ask You for the good in her (or whatever is bought), and in the disposition You have given her: I take refuge in You from the evil in her, and in the disposition You have given her”

If someone buys new clothes, before wearing it he/she should read the following Dua:

‌اللهم لكَ الحمدُ، ‌أنتَ ‌كسَوْتَنِيهِ، أسالُكَ مِن خَيرِه، وخَيرِ ما صُنِع له، وأعُوذُ بِك مِنْ شرِّهِ، وشرِّ ما صُنِعَ له

Translation: “O Allah, all praise is for You. You have clothed me, I ask you for its goodness and the goodness what it has been made for, and I seek Your protection from the evil of it and the evil what it has been made for”
