Ghusl For A Woman Who Died Wearing Nail Polish

Question

If a woman dies with polish on her nails and dye in her hair, should it be removed for the ghusl to be correct or not?

Answer

Nail polish is of a non-permeable nature whilst hair dyes are generally known to be penetrable.

Therefore, it will be necessary to remove the nail polish in order for the Ghusl to be valid. It will not be necessary to remove the hair dye as water can penetrate it.
