If a person has a steel item glued to the back of his lower teeth and water can not pass through this, is his ghusl valid?
Answer
Our understanding is that the person has had the steel object attached to his lower teeth due to necessity such as for dental and medical purposes. The ruling in such a scenario is as mentioned below:
The Fuqaha explicitly mention that; if water cannot reach certain areas of the mouth or body due to having inserted an object in situations of need or necessity and it is also difficult or inconvenient to remove that object or particle then the ghusl will be considered as valid.
Hence, the person’s ghusl will be valid in the queried scenario, subject to the aforementioned.
