Honeymoons

Question

Are honeymoons allowed in Islaam?

Answer

The concept of honeymoon is foreign to Islam. There is no proof of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, Sahaaba Radialllahu Anhum, or any of our pious seniors going for honeymoon. We as Muslims have been commanded in the Quraan to contradict and oppose the ways of the Kuffar, hence this practice should also be discarded.
