Jumuah Khutbah Delivered By One Person And The Salaah Performed By Another

If an Aalim gave the English Bayaan and Arabic khutbah, but his voice got soft or he got tired, is it fine if let another suitable person perform the salaah, or is such an action makrooh?

It is Khilaaf-e-Awla or Makrooh-e-Tanzeehi (undesirable) that the Khutbah is delivered by a particular person and the Salaah led by another, as the Khutbah and Salaah are both considered as one, hence the Fuqaha have written that the same person should carry out both acts.

However, if a person’s voice becomes feint due to sickness or one is extremely tired then due to such a necessity another suitable person may be appointed as the Imaam, but this should not become a continuous habit and practice.
