Performing Qasr Salaah Due To Getting Lost

Question

A person travels from Town A to Town B, its not safar distance, however he gets lost on the way and ends up driving for a total of 80 kms. will he make qasar in Town B?

Answer

No, he will not perform Qasr in the queried scenario because he did not intend to travel a Safr distance. The laws of Safr will only apply from the time he makes intention of Safr.
