Saying Ameen During The Jumuah Khutbah

Question

The general public should not speak during the khutbah and according to my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) they should not say durood nor ameen to the Duas. If the public are saying ameen to the Duas (when they are not supposed to) should the Dua then be left out?

Answer

During the Khutbah, Ameen should be recited in one’s heart for all mentioned Du’aas.

The Imam should not avoid making Du’aa in the Khutbah, as this would deprive the congregation of its benefits.

Additionally, there may be individuals from other Madhaahib who are allowed to say Ameen audibly during the Khutbah. If most of the congregation follows the Hanafi school, the Imam should occasionally remind them to say Ameen in the heart and not audibly, as we are instructed to maintain complete silence during both Khutbahs.
