Question
When giving Ghusl to a Mayyit, is sequence required as in Wudu? For example: sequence of putting water into the mouth of the Mayyit and then cleaning the nose, etc.
Answer
Wudhu should be effected to the Mayyit at the time of Ghusl. It is a Sunnah of Wudhu to follow the sequence therefore it should also be carried out at the time of giving Ghusl to the Mayyit.
However, in the Wudhu of the Mayyit we are not allowed to put water in the mouth and nose.

ثم يوضأ وضوءه للصلاة لما روي عن النبيﷺ أنه قال اللاتي غسلن ابنته ابدأن بميامنها ومواضع الوضوء منها»؛ ولأن هذا سنة الاغتسال في حالة الحياة فكذا بعد الممات؛ لأن الغسل في الموضعين لأجل الصلاة إلا أنه لا يمضمض الميت، ولا يستنشق؛ لأن إدارة الماء في فم الميت غير ممكن، ثم يتعذر إخراجه من الفم إلا بالكب (بدائع الصنائع)
