Question
Can a Muslim donate sperm?
Answer
It is not permissible to donate sperm because each part of a man deserves utmost respect due to the sanctity bestowed to humankind by Allah.
Furthermore, there will be confusion in the lineage, which is against the objective of our religion. Also, donations of sperm are done through masturbation, which is forbidden.
Generally, sperm is donated for couples who cannot conceive naturally, but we have to remember that nothing is impossible for Allah, we have to continue asking for the help of Allah. Allah can change every condition and cure a couple’s predicament whenever He wishes.
