Swallowing Food In Salaah

Question

I would like to know that if a person unintentionally swallows food that was stuck in the mouth during salaah then what will be the status of the salaah?

Answer

If a person swallows food that is stuck in his/her mouth during Salaah, then the validity of the Salaah will dependent on the collective amount of food swallowed.

If the collective amount of food swallowed is less than the size of a chickpea, the Salaah will remain intact. If the collective amount of food swallowed is equal to or more than the size of a chickpea, the Salaah will be invalidated and it will have to be repeated.
