Tilaawat Of The Quraan-e-Majeed At The Time Of Adhaan

Question

I would like to know if a person is the reciting quraan while in masjid and the adhaan goes should he close the quraan and reply to adhaan or may he continue reading?

Answer

If one is engaged in the recitation of the Qur’an, in the Masjid, and the Adhaan is called out, it is preferable that he pauses his recitation and answers the Adhaan, however, if he wishes, he may continue in his recitation of the Qur’an.
