Question
What is the ruling of carrying the Quraan if it is covered with something? Does one need to be in the state of Wudhu. Some Quraans come pre-covered with transparent plastic. Does that count as “able to come off”?
Answer
If the Qur’an is covered with such a Ghilaf (cover) which is Munfasil (can be easily removed) than one doesn’t need to have Wudhu and those Quraan-e-Kareems which are pre-covered with see through plastic that will also be counted as “able to come off” unless it is taped up.
