Question
A person has a deep cut on his body which the doctors have said he cannot put water in it for a couple of days. He has a fardh ghusal. Does he leave that portion dry? If he does so will his ghusl be valid? Keep in mind that he cannot do masah as well.
Answer
If a person cannot wash a certain portion of his body due to an injury or cut, neither can he do Masah on the wound itself nor on a bandage placed over it, in will no longer remain incumbent to wash that portion. If, however, he is able to do Masah upon a bandage he will have to do so.
